Sneg, miške, kamele in plešoči menihi – zadnji teden Ladakh

Naslednje jutro pa potem direkt do pakistanske meje in muslimanske vasice Turtuk. Zadnji dan na turi smo ujeli še fantastičen budistični festival v mestecu Diskit, potem pa čez 5359 metrov visok prelaz Kardung La spet nazaj v Leh in našo bazo Tukchu homestay.

Backpacks are packed and tomorrow we are saying goodbye to beautiful Ladakhk and also to upcoming winter. Before us is Rajasthan and a new beautiful but quite hot adventure. The last days in Ladakh were definitely not boring. After coming back to Leh from the trip to lake Tso Moriri, we spent a day in Leh, where we filled up our empty batteries and empty stomachs. Then we set off again on our next 5 day trip. First we crossed Chang La pass to the lake Pangong Tso, that lies on the Chinese border. The nature is amazing but true wilderness is dissappearing really fast. The reason is a Bollywood movie, that was filmed also on the shores of this amazing high altitude lake. So the place is a big hit among Indian tourists. But it was not interesting just because of indian tourists. We stayed in a really simple guesthouse and when there was no electricity at night, our really simple room miraculously become really alive. The cute mice were everywhere and the night was really great just because of their company. The next morning we continued our journey in a real snowstorm towards Hundar, where we spent the day with Bactrian Camels. The next morning we drove directly to the Pakistani border and the Muslim village of Turtuk. On the last day of the tour, we could not miss a fantastic Buddhist festival in the town of Diskit, then we crossed 5359-meter high pass Kardung La and we were again in our Ladakh base – the amazing Tukchu homestay.
