Namakanje v toplem divjem vrelcu – Maibachl, Avstrija

Kičasto vse skupaj, a včasih kič paše. 🙂 🙂

I am a great fan of swimming in nature but even better is to find some natural wild hot springs. 🙂  It’s great when we find the right place to escape away from everyday hustle and bustle and enjoy those few minutes, hours. And if it is possible, we always try to find places like this also on our longer journeys. In Italy, especially in Tuscany, you can find some really nice spots – you can check them here. The West Coast of USA is a true paradise for fans of wild springs, and during our road trip around the US we stopped there too – it was phenomenal. Despite the fact that Slovenia is famous spa country, unfortunately there are no idyllic wild places, where you can have a dip. But recently we found one that is not very close, but also not far away. Near the Villach in neighbouring Austria lies a small hot spring Maibachl in the idyllic forest, that was on our arrival like a place from fairytale. It was around 8 in the morning, the lake was still empty, and the mist of warm air slowly rised infront of first sunlight. It was kitschy, but sometimes kitsch rules. 🙂 🙂
