Prva postaja – mesto Shkodër in okolica, Albanija

In v Albaniji ni bilo nič drugače. In če smo se ob prihodu v Albanijo polni energije lotili raziskovanja trdnjave Rozafa, smo pred našim odhodom domov uživali predvsem v lagodnem poležavanju in raziskovanju zanimivih vrelcev Gjiri i Syrit.

The first and last stop on our road trip around Albania was the town of Shkodër on Skadar Lake. The first days in a new country are always the best for me, as everything is new to me and I usually notice everything that is at least a little different than at home. And in Albania it was no different. 🙂 We were surprised by good roads, small amounts of garbage, and above all we were surprised in the first days by the number of new houses and houses that somehow did not reach their final form. There were a lot of unfinished villas or mansions in the whole of Albania. The town of Shkodër is otherwise a typical Albanian town with some interesting attractions, among which is the Rozafa fortress, which lies above the town itself, and the landscape north of the town, where we find some really interesting locations. The city also offers two excellent campsites – the first camp Legjenda is located near the city and offers a good starting point to visit the city, and camp “Lake Shkodra resort”, which lies a few kilometers north and is like a copy of a top camp from Germany, offers a great location for lounging and enjoying by Lake Shkodra. We slept in both and both were great. And if we arrived in Albania full of energy and were ready to set out to explore the Rozafa Fortress, we didn’t have any energy left on our last day. It was time just to relax a little bit and explore the interesting springs of Gjiri and Syrit further up north.
