Razvajanje v dvoje – romantična avantura od gradu Socerb do reke Dragonja, Slovenija

Pred dnevi sva z Ano praznovala obletnico poroke. In ker v vseh revijah piše, da so zlato, diamanti in ostala šara pase in moraš ženo presenetiti z izvirnostjo, sem naredil pač to.

A few days ago, my wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. And since all the magazines say that gold, diamonds and other things are not really popular in this time and that you have to surprise your wife with originality, I did just that. 🙂 I took her to have fun in an original way. 🙂 Originally, Saturday would be busy and reserved for a wedding. But because they are all canceled because of corona virus, we had another free weekend for just two of us, since the little one is still enjoying on the sea.

We started our little adventure at Socerb castle, where we put on our backpacks and embarked on a two-day adventure in Slovenian Istria. In the next two full days we hiked a good 40 kilometers and during the trip we visited some really striking points of the Slovenian coast. Immediately after Kastelec, we walked through the idyllic, karst meadows of Slovenian Istria. This was followed by a scenic karst edge, olive groves below Podpeč, then Hrastvolje, and we finished our day at the Jakomin camp in Kubed. After a rather windy night, it was time for departure. After enjoying delicacies (peaches and a can of Radler) in Gračišče, we turned into the wild valley of the river Dragonja, where at the beginning there was only a dry riverbed. But things changed quickly and there were many beautiful pools, some of them with fantastic crayfish. After lunch at the renovated mill and the afternoon storm, it was also time for some relaxing – this time in the idyllic pool of the Dragonja river. We did not meet a single person along the way, even in the valley of the Dragonja River. And if you are looking for places that are something special and rarely visited, maybe the Dragonja Valley is the right place for you. Especially these days, when the pools are a real reward for a rather strenuous hike at times – especially due to the difficult orientation and overgrown terrain.
