Unlike Ana, I never had any special desire to see the Taj Mahal. The photos I’ve seen were great, but I knew that Taj Mahal is also overcrowded with visitors.  We first saw Taj Mahal in the middle of the day from the opposite bank of the Yamuna River. And despite the fact that the view was beautiful, it was juts to hot for us, arriving straight from Ladakh area. And if a visit to the Red Fortr with a view of the Taj Mahal was a total miss (it was the first place in India for us, that was totally overcrowded with indian tourists), we finally saw the Taj Mahal also like we were dreaming of. First we did an evening tour with bicycles and a super local guide that showed us the hidden locations of Agra. But that was just a preparation for something better –  according to all information it was strictly prohibited, but in India everything is possible. 🙂 Late in the evening and early in the morning boat trips were spectacular and it was the perfect way to feel the majestic Taj Mahal.
